Tailored packages
Unlike other data providers, Eighty20.com.au also provides tailored packages that suit the needs of a variety of organisations and at a price that suits all budgets. The packages are split into ‘Local’, ‘State’ and ‘National’, reflecting the area about which the organisation needs information – and then are then divided further into ‘depth’ of information e.g., postcode level, census collector district etc – and also by numbers of simultaneous users.
To make access easier, any person who is employed by the organisation purchasing an Eighty20.com.au subscription is covered by the license to use it. Currently there are 13 tailored packages available to subscribers.
The prices of the
packages range from $220.00 per annum (incl GST) to $11,000.00, with the most
common packages priced around $1,000.00. See table below for all packages.
Eighty20.com.au provides a tailored service so that organisations can
select one to fit their monetary budget as well as their data requirements.
Eighty20.com.au provides cost effective data. We can do this due to the efficiencies of having the data delivered on the web, compared to other companies and organisations that do not.
As an example: to purchase CData from the ABS for all of Australia to CCD level it costs $10,600. The equivalent package to this is the National CCD single which may be purchased for $1,650 per annum. The usefulness of being web-based is that anyone in your organisation may access it where-ever they can get internet access. They do not have to be at work or at the library and have direct access to a cdrom. Being online means that new modules and updates are instantly available to new subscribers.
