We are proud to be a leading secondary distributor for the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Our joint history dates back to 1995 when Eighty20 was first produced on disks.
Eighty20 contains data from the most recent Census that was taken on August 7, 2001 (released 17 June 2002) as well as the results from the 1996 Census of Population and Housing. Data from previous years are included in modules such as trends - to assist the user understand how an area has changed over time.
The demographic tables included in the first release (June) are:
Age by sex
Age by registered marital status by sex
Ancestry by birthplace of parents
Birthplace (countries) by sex
Birthplace (regions) by sex
Language spoken at home by sex
Proficiency in spoken English by year of arrival in Australia
Religious affiliation by sex
Type of educational institution attending (full-time/part-time) by sex
Highest level of schooling completed by sex
Weekly individual income by age by sex
Relationship in household by age by sex
Age by computer use by sex
Internet use by sex
Family type
Dwelling structure by persons usually resident
Dwelling structure by tenure type and landlord type
Monthly housing loan repayment
Weekly rent by landlord type
State of usual residence on census night by sex

Another 12 tables will be released later in the
year. Note - all purchasers of Tailored Packages (subscriptions) and the "full

Direct Data downloads will be automatically updated to the new data when it is released by the
ABS.
